12" 2-Way Speakers Passive
12 Inch two-way pro audio loudspeaker have a woofer that produces the low frequencies that is twelve inches in diameter, and some form of high frequency device to handle the upper spectrum of the audio band.
The high frequency section can be handled by a compression driver, whose diaphragm (moving part) is made of titanium, aluminum, or some sort of metal, or it could be a Mylar dome tweeter or a ribbon driver depending on how the manufacturer designed the speaker to be used.
The bottom line is a twelve inch two-way speaker uses a twelve inch woofer in combination with some type of high-frequency device to produce full range sound. A great example of a 12" two-way speaker is the RCF HD-12A.
