Galaxy Audio CM-140 CheckMate SPL Meter (Sound Level Meter)

The Galaxy Audio CM-140 is a step up from the CM-130. The CM-140 is the least expensive decibel meter (sound level meter) in the Galaxy line whose results are, in most jurisdictions, admissable in court. The CM-140 meets the same IEC 651 Type 2 standards of SPL meters that cost 5 times as much or more. Windscreen and battery are included with each of the CHECK MATE models. Works on 9 volt batteries and weighs in at half a pound. Note: the Galaxy Audio CM-100 is now the CM-140.
