In ceiling speakers are designed to be mounted flush with the ceiling. Everyone can recognize an in-ceiling speaker as these are the kinds of pro audio loudspeakers that you see in supermarkets and shopping malls. Most ceiling speakers are usually enclosed in a back can (a metal housing) and then flush mounted with the ceiling. As is true of other types of pro audio speakers, there are those designed for paging and light music use, and there are those that handle several hundred watts and can tackle the most demanding music. Calculating how many ceiling speakers you are going to need to cover a certain area can be a difficult task.
