Performance - The best value in sound reinforcement
The Performance series benefits from Yorkville's thirty-five plus years of P.A. enclosure engineering experience to bring you lighter weight, trapezoidal enclosures incorporating improved components and crossovers. Performance stage monitors have been updated to a "side-by-side" format with a vertical horn and the rectangular powered enclosures have also been given a face-lift.
The Performance series was designed with working musicians in mind. The trapezoidal shape lends a modern appearance to the line while allowing efficient arrays. The all plywood cabinet construction is lightweight, rugged and great sounding. Internally the cabinets are well braced and drivers are mounted solidly to withstand the rigors of transportation. Cabinets are built road-ready with easy-to-clean durable blue-black carpet covering, heavy-gauge perforated metal speaker grilles, integrated speaker stand adapters, non-skid plastic feet and metal corner protectors.
Other recent developments include an improved constant-directivity horn for better off-axis response in the high frequency range. Additionally, high frequency drivers are protected by special CTL™ (current-to-light) conversion circuitry, which enables them to continue to function, without damage, during typical overload conditions. Our engineers and designers using the latest in CAD/CAM technology have thoughtfully designed all cabinets.

Practical Format
Arrayable trapezoidal full-range designs, practical side-by-side format wedge monitors make the Performance series enclosures practical and flexible for a wide variety of applications.
Rugged Driver Mounting System
All Performance series cabinets feature a specially reinforced driver mounting system that makes sure they will be. The ABS or composite horns are pressure fit to the driver, which is bolted to the internal driver support.
Custom Design Horns
Custom ABS plastic and composite horns are specifically designed for each cabinet and manufactured right in our factory for optimum quality control. This insures proper waveguide output for better clarity and lower distortion.
Rugged Blue-Black Carpet Covering
The stylish yet practical carpet that covers the Performance series cabinets keeps them looking great. The two part rubberized glue that is used to attach the carpet ensures that Performance cabinets will stand up against moisture by effectively wrapping the cabinet in a rubber glove.
CTL™ Protected Crossovers
Seamless driver interaction and correct time alignment are achieved through sophisticated high-slope passive networks. The CTL™ (Current-To-Light) protection incorporated into many of the Performance series cabinets allows continued operation by absorbing excess signal thus preventing HF driver failure. In extreme conditions the low-cost light bulb will burn out before harmful current can damage expensive driver components.
Metal Speaker Grilles
Heavy gauge metal grilles absorb shocks evenly to resist dings and dents while eliminating frequency resonance. The trapezoidal cabinet shape allows for arrayable performance without phase cancellation.
All Plywood Construction
Only high quality plywood (the finest poplar and spruce in North America) is used for cabinet construction. These woods are half the weight of birch and are known for their strength and resiliency. Reinforced internal bracing maximizes durability and road-worthiness.
Stand Adapters
Stand adapters in the top of the subs and bottom of the full-range speakers allow the use of the adjustable SW-TELETUBE option which makes setup a breeze by eliminating the need for speaker stands.
